Class Discussion (100 points) Assignment For this project, you will need to lead a class discussion of a work for 15 minutes. There are no hard-and-fast rules for this type of project, other than that you help the class to engage in a meaningful discussion of the work in question. You are not to lecture to us; class participation is your major goal, here. Sign Up for Class Time To avoid long lists of presenters at the end of the semester, I will have you sign up for a class period at the beginning of the semester. You do not have to know the specific form of your presentation when you sign up; however, your dramatic interpretation should involve the work or works we are reading for that class period. Rehearsal You must meet with me outside of class at least one class period before your scheduled presentation. At this meeting, we will review your plans for the presentation, and you will make a dry run of your presentation for me. You will not be permitted to make your presentation if you have not had a rehearsal with me. Peer Evaluation Evaluation of all oral projects (including this one) will be based on a combination of peer and teacher evaluation. Your peers will provide written evaluations of your project, which will factor into the final grade for that project. |
